So, this week I have been Busy, busy, busy, you will not believe!!
Starting on Sunday, I travelled to middlesborough to do a bungee jump with two of my fellow classmates (Aimmee and Natalie [and natalie's dad Henry!])
We jumped, or should I say fell? off middlesborough transporter bridge (165ft high) 1 degrees celcius, windy, foggy weather!
I cannot tell you how elating this experience was; it was truly magical. You completely dettach your mind from your body and accept that you could be plummetting to you death, so much so, that I can't really remember anything other than being saved from the hanging rope by a boat below me, and that's when the adrenaline kicks in!! We spent the whole journey home either chatting like barking dogs about what we'd just been through, or completely silent in our own thoughts just sort of reminiscing. On the way home we also stopped for a very much needed Burger King meal to give us some more energy. I was very thankful when I returned home to my family safe and sound and I'm sure my Partner Jake was too!!
On monday, I woke feeling rather exhillarated and greatful for the half term week ahead of me. The opportunity to spend this week with my son (I miss him so much when I'm at university or working and he's in nursery). I also gave myself the challenge to cook delicious meals every night, Monday we had home made vegetable soup with crunchy warm ciabatta bread, and last night I made a vegetable canelloni. yum!! however tonight I am exhausted and think that I will just resort to putting a pizza in the oven.
Anyway, here's a photo of the bridge I jumped off. I'll hopefully get
